| Description | Letter sent by Judge Thomas White to his wife Catherine. White writes that his son Harry continues to be held as a prisoner by the Confederate Army. He was going to be exchanged, but the Confederates cancelled the deal. Judge White believes that the Confederates wish to trade Harry for a higher ranking prisoner. He reports that he has recently been in contact with Governor Curtin and a few others regarding an important prisoner being held at Fort Warren. He believes that the Confederates may be willing to exchange Harry for this man. |
