| Description | Letter sent by William Gustin Lowry (Gus) to his sister Margaret Judson Lowry (Mag) form a camp near Sharpsburg, Maryland on October 25, 1862. Gus is being visited by a man called Smith. He discusses his opinion on Genral McClellan. Gus states that he is a supporter of McClellan, and that he believes others should be as well. He reports that Bob Moore, who he had not had word of before, is well. Bob was at Harper's Ferry when the Confederates were, but he was well. Gus concludes by writing that Captain Monks had resigned and gone home. |
