| Description | Letter sent by Pennsylvania Governor A. G. Curtin to Judge Thomas White from Harrisburg on July 9, 1864. Curtin writes that Judge White's son Harry is believed to have escaped from a Confederate prison in Salisbury, North Carolina. Nothing has been heard from Harry since the time of his escape, however, so Curtin is not sure if he was successful in reaching the Union's lines or not. |
