DescriptionIn the fall of 2005, students from visiting assistant professor John Bodinger's Thought and Social Science class placed 1, 994 flags in the lawn in front of the Degenstein Campus Center. The flags represented the number of American soldiers that had died in Iraq since the war began in March of 2003. The purpose of the display was to make the Susquehanna community more aware of the war in Iraq and the death toll that was its result.
