DescriptionThe original First Methodist Church, constructed in 1833 and replaced in 1885 by the second church building on the same site on Third Avenue. This space is now (2004) occupied by the Central Fire Station. The second building was sold to the Evangelical United Brethren congregation upon completion of the third Methodist structure on Market street in 1925.
