| Description | The center aisle of the 1953 show is designed by landscape architect Frederick W. G. Peck in cooperation with a committee of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. The design commemorates PHS's 125th anniversary, with the theme "Philadelphia Scene" to depict Philadelphia in 1827, the year of PHS's founding. This gold medal-winning exhibit featuring Arch Street in 1827 was executed by Charles Evans for PHS.
