| Description | Styer's Nurseries of Concordville, Pennsylvania, exhibit in the 1954 Philadelphia Flower Show. Styer's exhibit includes four rose plantings. From Florists Exchange and Horticultural Trade World, April 3, 1954: "Continuing the show's theme of Roses, and evoking much comment from visitors, were the four gardens in the center of the hall staged by Styer's Nurseries, Concordville, featuring hardy Margot Koster Floribundas against a background of tall Rhododendrons. Terracotta figures -- St. Francis of Assisi, owls, birds and squirrels -- added a fitting rustic touch to this first prize-winning exhibit." |
