The current collections of The Allegheny Chronicles Slideshow of images of the Point at Pennsylvania and Second Avenues from 1863

to 2004 consist of over 300 digital images from the library’s Historic Warren Photograph Collection and two rare historical publications, The Allegheny Pilot (1855), a detailed navigational study of the river during the era of early rafting and lumbering and Improvement of the Allegheny River and Flood Control, (1943) a paper examining historical flood control and new proposals under consideration during the 1930’s and 40’s.
